CONFERENCE VENUE
Churchill College received its Royal Charter in 1960. It is the embodiment of his vision of how higher education can benefit society in the modern age. Like the thirty other colleges in Cambridge University, it is committed to outstanding academic achievement; more than twenty of its members have won the Nobel Prize. While it focuses especially on science, engineering and technology, its teaching and research also reflect the intense interest in the arts and humanities of Sir Winston himself, whose own Nobel Prize was for literature. And it builds bridges from academe to business and the professions.

ABOUT CAMBRIDGE
Cambridge is a pretty university town with a history stretching back to pre-Roman times. The city is about 50 miles (80 Km) north of London from which it has excellent access by public transport (e.g. 45 minutes by regular express train) and by private vehicle.
Stansted (27 miles / 43 Km) and Luton (44 miles / 71 Km) airports are both close by, and are served by low-cost airlines from many European airports. Visitors may also arrive at Heathrow or Gatwick airports, which are further away, but still readily accessible by public transportation.
